CounterShadow secures pre-seed investment from Tachles VC

CounterShadow has closed a pre-seed investment from Tachles VC, an early-stage investor focused on cybersecurity, cloud computing, and AI infrastructure. Tachles operates a cross-market model spanning Israel, Central Europe, and the United States, and its portfolio is built around exactly the kind of deep-tech security work CounterShadow is doing.

"We're delighted to be joining the Tachles portfolio," said Jonathan Zulberg, founder and CEO of CounterShadow. "They understand cybersecurity from the inside, they back companies early when conviction matters most, and they know what it takes to build in this space. For a company at our stage, that combination is worth as much as the capital itself."

What the investment supports

The funding goes toward the core of the business: developing the autonomous investigation platform, growing the engineering team, and getting the product into the hands of early customers. CounterShadow is building an AI-driven SOC platform that investigates security alerts the way an experienced analyst would, but continuously and at machine speed.

Why Tachles

Plenty of investors are interested in AI right now. Fewer understand security operations well enough to judge whether a product will survive contact with a real SOC. Tachles does. Its focus on cybersecurity and AI infrastructure means the partnership brings domain knowledge, networks across three markets, and a bench of portfolio companies working on adjacent problems.

For CounterShadow, the round is a foundation to build from. The team is small, the ambition isn't, and having a specialist investor on board this early gives the company room to concentrate on the thing that matters: making autonomous investigation work in production.
